REV. FRED PORTER, age 85, passed away peacefully at Southwest Residential Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer on Dec. 17, 2012. He is the beloved husband of Ethel (nee Sword); loving father of Jim (Peggy), Debbie Wilfong, Joe (Sue), Chuck (Sandy) and Angel Boll (Rich); dear grandfather of Judy Keaney (Kevin), Kevin Wilfong, Todd Wilfong (Angela), Derrick Porter, Tyler Boll, DeAndria Porter, Savannah Boll, Jolene Porter and Emma Boll; step-grandfather of Craig, Cady and Colton Sturgill; great-grandfather of Aliyah Wilfong. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Henry Stewart and Opal Porter, stepmother Helen Porter; sisters, Jessie Porter, Bessie Blevins and Lutie Tabors and son, Jim Porter. He is survived by 14 brothers and sister, and a host of dear friends and family. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday December 22, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
