Opal Jane McKenzie, age 84, of Louisa died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center of Louisa, KY. Opal was born October 16, 1928 in Torchlight, KY. She is the daughter of the late Monroe and the late Ethel Fugitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward McKenzie who died in 1994. She was a retired cook for the Lawrence County Schools. She is survived by three daughters: Wanda Morrow of Louisa, KY, Lorraine Kiser of Whitesburg, KY, Faye Hardin of Louisa, KY and two sons: James McKenzie of Louisa, KY, Jerry McKenzie of Louisa, KY; Sister of two sisters: Daisy Vanhoose of Torchlight, KY, Betty Caudill of Torchlight, KY and two brothers: Homer Fugitt of Louisa, KY, Ralph Fugitt of Louisa, KY; She also has eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a great great grandson. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29 at Wilson Funeral Home 1270 Hwy 2565, Louisa, KY with Bro. Charlie Maynard officiating. Burial will be in McKenzie Cemetery, Torchlight, KY. Calling hours will be Monday, January 28 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 1270 Hwy 2565, Louisa, KY. Online condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeky.com .
