Arvel Delong 97, of Keaton, KY passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born June 6, 1918 at Tomahawk, KY to the late, Emery and Elizabeth Mullett- Delong. He was preceded in death by his wife, Garna Rose Delong and one daughter, Libby Sammons. He is survived by two grandchildren, Susan Barrett of Hillard, OH and David Blair of Lawrenceburg, KY, and two great-grandchildren Ian and Rhiannon. He was of Baptist Faith and a US Army/Air Force veteran and served in World War II.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00PM at Yatesville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chris Wilson officiating. Military rites will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6103/ American Legion Post 89. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
