Effie Napier Huff Steele, 81, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away on November 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born March 6, 1934 in Haney, West Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents Elzie and Ella Napier, brothers Kenneth, Wilburn, Willis, and Wilford, and husbands William Huff and George Steele. Surviving her are sisters Anna Jean O'Brian, Janice Branham, and Joyce Wellman, brother Wilkie Napier, children Gary A. (Janet) Huff, Mike (Cathy) Huff, Dreama (Gary) Gillette, Torry (Nora) Huff, Donovan "Chip" Huff, Karla Huff, Kevin (Carol) Huff, Mike (Debbie) Copley, Gary (Debby) Steele, grandchildren Anna-Leigh, Josh, Rusty, Scottie, Toby, Tosh, Rhett, Maelyn, Camron, Lorie, Audrey, Blake, Shane, Bart and Zack and 22 great grandchildren. Effie was retired from Wayne County Public Schools and a member of the Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church. Effie will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her entire family. Viewing will take place on Thursday, November 19th at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, Kentucky from 4:00-9:00PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20th at 11:00AM at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bevins officiating and burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery off Tolsia Highway in Fort Gay, West Virginia. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
