I am one of many who remember Eric from the online communities he had participated in. He was always a good, strong man. A pillar of the communities he was a part of. He did a great deal to provide support to many and give them a place to learn and grow in their own ways, becoming better people for it. He was a dedicated man, and made the world a better place while he was here. I am honored to have known him, and my deepest condolences for his loss. - Gameshark

I was a friend of Eric from online. We gamed together, and sometimes he DMed for me and I for him. He was a caring, positive influence in my life when we were both younger men. Everyone should know that Eric touched lives and did good for people he'd never meet in person. His life improved others in so many ways. I was grateful for our time together over the last 24 years. I was also an online friend of Eric's. They were a real kind and omnipresent member of the community, everyone has kind words to say about them and laments they didn't spend more time with them. They were so excited for the upcoming holidays, they were over the moon about a gift idea for their brother they had had. Our community is better for having known them and worse for no longer having them. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I first met Eric when I was a mere Freshman (and he a Junior) at UKY, 27 years ago. He was one of the people who most helped me to find my friend group back in those formative days, and I'll always be grateful for that. We had fallen out of touch for many years, but I am nonetheless sad to hear of his passing. Godspeed, you *Transformers* fan.
