Obituary of Rhonda Marie Horn

It is with the greatest sorrow to announce that Rhonda Marie Bellamy-Horn, 54, passed away at home
on Monday November 25, 2024.

Rhonda was born on August 15, 1970 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Robert Vernon Bellamy and Sylvia
Clustine (Boggs) Bellamy. In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her loving
mother-in-law, Connie Sue (Tilton) Horn.

After graduating from Lawrence County High School, she earned degrees from Morehead State
University and the University of Kentucky. She continued her career as a high school English teacher at
Nelson County Schools in Bardstown, KY and part-time at Elizabethtown Community and Technical
College. At Nelson County Schools, she was revered by her students and fellow faculty members for her
generosity, knowledge, and mentorship. Serving in positions like Academic Team Coach, Yearbook
Advisor, as well as a brief stint as Department Chair, she fostered community and enriched the lives of
many who had the privilege of knowing her. In addition to academics, Rhonda served as coach for
Women’s Soccer as well as Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Rhonda was a proud Kentucky Colonel. Outside
of work, Rhonda was an avid traveler exploring cities domestically and abroad. She captured the world
with her award-winning photography skills. Rhonda also enjoyed genealogical research and was proud
of her roots.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Mark Horn. Two sons, Austin Horn and Peyton Horn, both of
Salvisa, KY. She also leaves behind her sister, Laura Hall, of Ashland, KY. Three nieces Madison Hall of
Louisville, KY, Emma Hall of Ashland, KY, and an Erinne Horn of Louisa, KY. A host of aunts, uncles,
cousins, extended family, and friends also mourn her passing.

Visitation services will be held at 11:00 am for family, 12:00 pm for the public on Saturday November 30,
2024 at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Buchanan Chapel Cemetery in Zelda.
