I have so many good memories I couldn't begin to name them all, but my favorite would be helping her do her spring cleaning every year. Sometimes we didn't do much but laugh and eat but the best was me breaking a window every year. The pully in the side broke and we worked and worked trying to get it closed but couldn't. She called Jim Bartram and he came and took it out then closed the window. I felt awful and she laughed. The next year it happened again with another window. She came down the hall saying 'Do I need to call Jim again?' I said, 'I believe you do and I'm not cleaning any more of your windows!' She just laughed again about it and Jim came again, so it was a joke from then on if we needed to call Jim. I loved her with all my heart. She was not only my best friend, she was a 2nd mother to me and one of my faithful prayer warriors! I've had her set up late in the night talking to me and praying with me if I had a problem and when I was taking chemo she called every day to check on me and got someone to bring her to visit a few times. Dory was one of a kind, happy and full of life till she got sick. There will never be another like her but Heaven gained a wonderful soul!!! I hope she saves me a seat, cause I will see her again and she is whole and seeing everything now, she will see me! Tammie, Cindy and family, she is rejoicing in the arms of the Lord, we couldn't begin to know her happiness right now, she is where she has strived to be all her life!

Cindy and Tammy, I'm thinking of you and praying for you during this difficult time. Your Mom was such a sweet light to all who encountered her. Her beautiful smile was so welcoming. Last summer I visited her and was so blessed, as always, by her sweet spirit. She was so proud of both of you and was quick to tell me all about you and her wonderful Grandchildren. She will certainly be missed.
Love you both,
Kay (Wilson) Brown

We’ve have lost many Christian women, looking so much to see them all including my Dad when we get to Heaven.
