Obituary of Nell Dora Hatfield
It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved mother Nell Dora Hatfield, 86, passed away to her eternal home on February 27, 2025. Nell's greatest joy came from spending time with and fostering a loving home for her two daughters, her precious grandchildren, and to her husband Thomas Hatfield, who preceded her in death.
Nell's love for her Bartram Chapel Church was a central theme throughout her life and she loved to attend services and sing. Nell was the oldest living member of Bartram Chapel Church.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Alta and Burgess Spears, a sister Betty Peters, and a brother Willie Spears.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and James Caudill, and Tammie and Tim Buches, her grandson Seth Caudill, granddaughter Samantha Buches Caudill (Ryan) and great grandson Cash Caudill, and her special cat Patches. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday March 3rd at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Robertson Cemetery on Old Mill Creek Road Fort Gay, West Virginia.
Friends may visit the famly on Monday March 3rd from 11:00 am until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.
The family respectfully request no flowers and that you make a donation in memory of Nell to Bartram Chapel Church.
