Teddy Preston 82 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away May 22, 2025 following a brief illness.

Teddy was born January 14, 1943 at Tadpole, Kentucky the son of the late Curt and Augusta Childers Preston. In addition to his parents he preceded in death by four brothers George, Paul, Bob, and Charles Preston.

Teddy was a Church of Christ Minister for over 60 years, he served on the Louisa City Council for many years and later became Mayor of Louisa for three terms. He was a deputy Lawrence County Coroner for twelve years and was a Licensed Kentucky Funeral Director and former part owner in Young Funeral Home in Louisa.

Survivors include a daughter Sheila Bowen and husband Joe; two sons Curtis Preston and wife Neffie and Eddie Preston and wife Sandy; grandchildren Megan Bradley, Kyle Preston, Jessica McCarty, Shelby Balaklaw, Andrea Salmons, Nadalee Preston, and Joshua Bowen; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers Gary and Jimmy Preston.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 25, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Evangelist Michael Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Louisa, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday Mary 25th from noon until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Teddy and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
