Norvil Glenn Vanover,86, of Mazie, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025, while at his home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Glenn was born February 25, 1939 in Mazie, KY to William H. "Dick" Vanover and Anna Vanover. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired union millwright and a member of Newcombe Valley Enterprise Baptist Church.

Glenn was a avid fan of UK basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball and Cincinnati Bengals football. He rarely missed a game, and often yelled back at the referees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. "Dick" Vanover and Anna Vanover, two sisters, Noel Dunham and Betty Fyffe, a brother Shirrel Vanover, and a great granddaughter Allison Simmons.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Windola "Wendy" Vanover of Mazie, KY; three daughters Deanna (Dave) Gibson of Sandy Hook, KY, Donna (Terry) Hardin of Catlettsburg, KY, and Delisa Kirby of Lexington, KY and a son Sean (Tammy) Vanover of Mazie, KY 13 grandchildren, Andrew, Arianna, Andrew, Joy, James, Derek, Ethan, Amber, Jake, Seanna, Bruce, Savannah and Zak, 16 great grandchildren Zayden, Christian, Gideon, Briarlyn, Riverlynn, Stevie, Kooper, Bode, Asher, Lucas, Wilder, William, Lukas, Andrew, Cameron and Skylar and a host of family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 5th at 11:00am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Toby Roe and Bro. Fred Sloas officiating. Burial with full miltary honors will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday July 4th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
