Eldred Eugene Hughes Obituary

Eldred Eugene Hughes 91 of Louisa, Kentucky went home on July 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.


Eldred was born September 28, 1933 at Yatesville, Kentucky the son of the late Homer and Eula Compton Hughes. He was retired supervisor for Westinghouse, proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and was a member of the First Baptist Church Louisa.


Survivors include his loving wife Una Fry Hughes; two sons Eldred Hughes Jr. and wife Lindsey and Darryl Hughes and wife Karen; grandchildren Heather Dibler, Jason (Kim) Hughes, Dustin (Kelli) Hughes, Joe (Kristi) Hughes, Jose Hughes, Angela Hughes, Austin (Kate) Hughes, Brianna Hughes; great grandchildren Faith Dibler, Angel Dibler, Lilly Dibler, Chloe Hughes, Tristan Gandara, Evelyn Drezner, Drake Hughes, Julianna Hughes, Bentley Hughes, Mila Hughes, and Johnny Hughes; siblings Phyllis (Gordon) Kline, Fannie (Ron) Spyers, Joan (Gene) Frazier, and Debbie (Henry) Perkins.


Funeral services will be held on Monday July 7th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Price, Rev. Bobby Workman, and Bro. Tim Ellis officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday July 8th at 1:00 pm at the East Concord Cemetery 6244 Hoover Road Grove City, Ohio. 


Friends may visit the famil on Monday July 7th from 11:00 am until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.


In lieu of flowers the family as that expressions of sympathy be made by making donations to the local chapter of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
