Obituary of Barbara Ellen Bowen

Barbara Ellen Bowen went home to be with Jesus on July 6, 2025 at age 87. Barbara was born to Nancy James Damron and Billy Damron on May 4, 1938 at Martin County Kentucky, in addition to being a loving mother and wife, grandmother, Barbara loved making quilts and crocheting. She was a member at Vineyard Church.

Barbara joins her husband Bobby Joe Bowen, her dat and mom, Billy Damron and Nancy Damron Bowen. Preceding her in death are sons Ronnie Bowen and Bobby Joe Bowen Jr., and one brother Clifford Damron.

She is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Mike) Horn, Wanda (Rick) Horn both of Inez, Kentucky; Betty Bowen of Louisa, KY, and Nancy (Jeff) Stonebraker of Ohio; sons Mike Bowen of Ohio and Eddie (Heather) Bowen of Louisa, KY; Fourteen Grandchildren, a host of Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. She loved each and everyone of them most of all she loved the Lord.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery Peter Cave Inez, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday July 9th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
