
Obituary of Robert R. Chapman
Robert R. Chapman, 74, died July 6, at Boyd County Nursing and Rehabiliation Center.
He was born September 11, 1950 at Clifford, Kentucky. He was the son of James Douglas Chapman and Jennie Maynard Chapman.
Bob graduated from Louisa High School, class of 1968. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He spent 35 years working in the Trucking Industry. After retirement he enjoyed spending his time working in his garden.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Lindsay Garret, Charles, James, George Dewey and J.D. He is survived by one brother, William. H. Chapman and his wife Carol, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, two sisters, Frankie Wellman of Grove City, Ohio and Betty Gerhardt of New Albany, Ohio; neices Wanda Golden and her husband Ralph of Mt. Perry, Ohio; Kim Wellman her partner Jason Pierce of Coolville, Ohio, Lisa Martin and her husband Billy of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; nephews Mitch Chapman and his wife Dawn of Winchester, Kentucky, Gary Chapman and his wife Theresa of Kenova, West Virginia, Brandon Gerhardt and his wife Tina, of Patsakala, Ohio, Adam Gerhardt and his wife Kelly of New Albany, Ohio, and many grand nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Yellow Creek Little Country Church, where he enjoyed services and fellowship with his many friends and neighbors.
Visiting hours at 10:00 am on Saturday July 12th at the Wilson Funeral Home. Service will be conducting by Pastor Greg Caudill at 12:00 pm on Saturday July 12th. Burial will follow at the Maynard Cemetery at Clifford, Ky.
