Denver Doyle Mollett, 79, of Ashland, KY, formerly of Blaine, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born on June 26, 1946, in Minnie, KY, to the late James “Jake” and Matilda Mollett.

In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vonda Lea (Woods) Mollett; his son, Samuel Waller of Auxier, KY; brothers Earl Mollett of Blaine, KY, and Ronnie Mollett of Ohio; and his sister, Nathel Kimbler of Ohio.

Denver is survived by his children: Dennis (Missy) Mollett of Ashland, KY; Dee (Ontonette) Mollett of Ashland, KY; Be-Linda (William) Poe of Floyd County, KY; Samantha Waller of Van Lear, KY; and Kellie (Keith) Christian of Varney, WV.

He is also survived by his brothers: Don (Jane) Mollette, Vernon (Rita) Mollette, and Daymond Mollette; and his sisters: Gloria (Rick) Gilliam and Cassie (Danny) Barker.

Denver was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

A true Kentucky Wildcat through and through, Denver was the biggest fan of the UK Wildcats—he bled blue and never missed a game if he could help it. His love for his team was only matched by his love for his family.

He will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, fierce loyalty, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and Wildcat pride will live on in all who knew and loved him
