My papaw was the best papaw someone could ever have. When I was little I wasn’t aloud to have a Hershey bar so we snuck under the kitchen table at mamaws and ate it together. A funny story… me and sophie had spent the night at papaw and mamaws one night, we were up past both mamaw and papaws bedtime. Me and sophie kept and kept laughing after he had already told us to “settle down.” We were being funny and I accidentally hit my hand on the ceiling real loud… me and sophie both were dying laughing. Me and sophie acted like we were asleep because we knew he was gonna come in there. He came in there and shew was he upset that we were still up making noise. Me and sophie started laughing after he walked out because we knew he would forget about it in the morning. He loved all of us grandchildren so dearly. We were very spoiled. Especially me and sophie because we were the only girls. He would play patty cake, the itsy bitsy spider, and Jesus loves me with us on his lap when we were little. He loved to teach us about Jesus Christ. I will always cherish the moments I’ve had with my papaw. He truly was one of a kind. He was very very funny, he liked to tell jokes a lot. He loved to laugh and see everyone smile. He also was great at snoring! He would watch his computer and fall asleep snoring. Very loudly. I’ve never seen a mean bone in that man’s body. I am going to miss his presence around mamaws every Sunday. It will be so different without him these holidays but I know he’s watching over us. Thank you for the best 18 years papaw. We all love you so big papaw ❤️

Mark was dedicated to the family of God, but also to his wife, children and grandchildren. He was truly talented in singing, music, teaching, and telling others about Jesus. I'm so thank we got to share a short time together here, but look forward to eternity in heaven with Mark. Praying for Judy, Amy, Jason and the family.
