John Abram McGinnis, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Abram McGinnis, a devoted son, brother, father, and true friend to all who met him.

John lived a life rich in simple pleasures. His greatest joys were found not in grand adventures, but in the everyday moments spent with his friends, family, and of course his "flock".

He will be forever remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the genuine happiness he found in caring for every four-legged or feathered friend that crossed his path. John taught us all the value of compassion and that every life, no matter how small, deserves love and care. John is survived by his children, Astoria (Josh) Elliott, Tori Elise McGinnis, Chad Abram McGinnis, Riley Joe McGinnis, Jayden Luke Davis McGinnis and Harper Blaine McGinnis. Also surviving is his grandson Eli Elliott, his mother, Mary Davis Poe; his sister Angela McGinnis; his brothers Greg (Jeanette) McGinnis, Jason (Bonnie) McGinnis, step brothers Jimmy Whitt and Chris Poe; and step sisters Amanda Poe and Rachel Poe;  step father Bud Poe, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of very dear friends.

John is preceded in death by his father, Joe McGinnis and his two brothers JD McGinnis and Chad Henry McGinnis, his step mother Thelma McGinnis; his grandparents John and Hazel McGinnis, and Abram and Nellie Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Robbie May officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe McGinnis Cemetery at 14696  Highway 32 Blaine, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday November 22nd and Sunday November 23rd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
