Kenneth "Fubby" Lewis Marcum passed away December 3, 2025 at King's Daughters Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jeannie, father Virgil, mother Dorothy, and a sister Judy.
Left behind is his wife of 42 years Martha and children Missy (Jerry) Moore, Shirley (Kelly) Fitzgerald, Patricia "Jo Jo" (Tim) Hylton, David (Jessica) Preston, Jennifer (Timothy) Jude; son-in-law Clarence Wells and a special son Phillip Sidelell; sisters Connie (Dennis) Jewel, Rosa Lee (Byron) Daughtery, and Brenda Bopps; brothers Virgil Marcum Jr., David (Sue) Marcum and Bradley Marcum; 21 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews with one special niece, Melody Hardin.
Fubby, known to all, had a career in coal mining. Everything from an operator, loader man, to boss. He retired from Booth Energy after 40+ years of working in the coal business. He had a love for Bluegrass music and ACDC.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 8th at 1:00 PM at the Garden of Hope Church in Louisa, KY with David Preston officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens of Louisa, KY.
Friends may visit the family on Monday from noon until the time of services at Garden of Hope Church.
