Zora Mae Wilks Obituary

Zora Mae Wilks, 68, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at her residence. Zora was born July 10, 1957 in Louisa, the daughter of the late Robinson and Roberta Hylton Quesenberry. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Wilks and her son Shannon Wilks.


 


She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing as well as enjoying time with her family. 


 


Survivors include her sons Michael Wilks and Sheridan (Christina) Wilks; two daughters Glenda Wilks and Shelley Wilks; a sister Rose Johnson;  a cousin Claude Quesenberry; five granddaughters Kaitlyn Bradley (Joshua Shepherd Deceased 2024), Emily (Austin) Christian, Hannah Wilks, Amity Wilks, Haley Wilks, Annaleise Wilks, and Madison Wilks; three grandsons Aidan Wilks, Sean Quesenberry, and Brayden Wilks; five great-granddaughters Alyssa Shepherd, Emma Christian, Kinley Christian, Chloe Wilks, and Keyleigh Wilks; three great-grandsons Alijah Christian, Joseph Shepherd, and Jordan Christian; and Her Fur Baby Chihuahua, Pap.  


 


There will be no services for Mrs. Wilks at this time. Special thank you to the ladies at Fresenius Kidney Care of Louisa, Patriot Ambulance Service, and Community Hospice of Ashland, KY.


In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
