Gene Endicott Obituary

Gene Endicott, 79, of Fort Gay, WV, departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on August 9, 1946, in Fort Gay, WV, a son of the late Sherman and Magdalene Fluty Endicott. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Juanita Bartram, Charles Endicott, and Earnest Endicott.


Gene is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Baisden Endicott; his daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and David Jaynes, Lisa and Charles Remy; granddaughters Jamie Thompson, Megan Bowens, Carlie (Robbie) Knipp, Emma Remy, Sophia Remy; grandsons Joshua Bowens, Charlie Remy, Owen Waugh, and Lincoln Knipp; sisters-in-law Sally Brewer and Maxine Endicott; brother-in law Tom (Belinda) Baisden; nieces Cathy Roluffs, Angie Schmidt, Leah Davis, Lori Ratliff, Melissa Brewer, and Beth Vargo; and nephews Chuck Endicott, Ernie Endicott, Chris Endicott, and Barry Baisden. Many great nephews, great nieces, and cousins, and special family members Clifton Ratliff, Mario Martinez, Willis Chaffin, Carolyn Endicott, and Ray Hunt.


Gene retired as owner and operator of Modern Auto, Inc./NAPA Auto Parts in Louisa, KY. He was a member of Fort Gay United Methodist Church and Vinson Masonic Lodge. A Visitation will be held on March 11, 2026 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY. Funeral services will be held on March 12, 2026 at 12:00 at Wilson Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Endicott Cemetery in Fort Gay, WV, with Masonic graveside services.


His life and memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who knew him and dearly loved him.
