Joyce Ann (Kirk) Goble, age 67, went home to be with the Lord Monday May 18, 2026 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.

She was born June 29, 1958 in Louisa, KY. Joyce was the daughter of the late James Harrison and Betsy (Pope) Kirk.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Steve Ray Goble of Louisa, KY; two sons James Henry (Tara Beth) Goble of Grayson, KY and Steven Ray (Erica) Goble of Pomeroy, OH; two granddaughters, Tessa Goble and Jenna Goble of Grayson, KY; two brothers, Phillip (Barbara) Kirk of Inez, KY and Charles (Ruth Ann) Kirk of Louisa, KY; two sisters, Daphene Goble of Louisa, KY and Charlene (Daniel) Moriarty of Lexington, KY; her former sister-in-law and dear friend, Sharon (Kirk) Lowe; as well as many other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Kirk and Joey L. Kirk; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Faye Rouse and Tammy Goble; and three brothers-in-law Tex Goble, Danny Goble, and John Goble.

Joyce was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved her cats and spent most of her time talking to anyone that would listen about how proud she was of her granddaughters. Many will remember her for her creativity, her love for cooking and baking, and her knack for sewing and crocheting. Her passion for singing, whether it be in church, at home, or back on the mountain, will be fondly remembered by all.

Visitation for family will begin at 4pm and friends at 5pm at New Friendship Church on Friday, May 22nd. Memorial service will be led by David Marcum and Michael Marcum at New Friendship Church on Saturday, May 23rd at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Kirk-Pope Cemetery in Louisa, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
