Randall “Randy” Otha Thompson Jr. also known to many as “Rubber,” 67 of Louisa, Ky passed away peacefully in his home on Monday July 6, 2026 following a brief illness. 

Randy was a former diesel mechanic and sold Snyder’s potato chips for many years. Randy was an avid gear head and loved anything with a motor. Randy’s one goal in life was to make an impression on everyone he met, and that he did. You couldn’t ask for a better son, husband, father, brother, paw, or friend. 

He was preceded in death by his father Randall Thompson Sr. and his beloved dog Chief.  

Randall is survived by his mother Mollie Thompson; his beloved wife Jennifer Thompson; his daughters Randa (Coletyn Borders) Thompson and Nicole (Daniel) Kelley; his sister Debbie (Lawrence) Cordle; his brother in laws Denny (Becky) Smith, and Kyle Smith; his grand children Blake and Brayden Cook, Caelan Kelley, and Lilah Mae; and several special friends that were more like family to him. 

Randy was Mr. Fix it to all of those around him. He could fix anything, or at least point you in the direction of who could help. He had a wealth of knowledge and was always willing to lend a hand.  He was so well loved and will be missed immensely.  While he leaves us on earth hurting, we know he is finely free from pain, suffering, and sickness. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 9th at 11am at Wilson’s Funeral Home with Rev Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. 

Friends may visit the family Wednesday July 8th at Wilson’s Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. 

The family would like to encourage all of his gear head friends to bring their classy rides to the visitation/funeral to give Randy a send off he would have loved.
