Obituary of Larry Gene Smith

Larry Gene Smith 74 of Fort Gay, WV passed away June 5, 2023.

Larry was born November 27, 1948, at Breeden, WV, the son of the late Harry and Edra Holbrook Smith. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam and was a retired coal mining surveyor.

He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Dillon Smith. He is survived by his son Gabriel Smith and wife Lorena; a grandson Tristan Smith; sisters Mary Lou Adkins, Billie Smith, Deanna Smith, Edith Marcum, and Sonya Belt; and brothers John, Joseph, Gary, Orison, and William Smith.

Joint funeral services will be held on Friday June 9^th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery Webb, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Friday June 9^th from 11:00 am until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.
