Phillip Elmer Preece 81 of Louisa, KY passed away February 3, 2024 at his home following a brief illness.

Phillip was born September 10, 1942, to the late Phill Jr. and Vivian Adkins Preece. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers Willis R. Preece, Uriah Preece, John H. Preece, and Robert W. Preece; and a sister Mary Angalee Preece.

Phillip had many occupations in his life. He was a strip miner, he was a truck driver, he was a farmer and small business owner, and a heavy equipment operator. Phillip was also involved in the 4-H horse club, he was a Kentucky Colonel, and he volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He also took pride in being in the 181st  Operating Engineers Union, he was a 3rd Degree Blue Lodge Mason, a 32nd Scottish Rite, and a Shriner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years Sharon Preece; a son Terry (Nadina) Preece; a daughter Robin (Terry) Parker; three grandsons Eric (Loren) Evans, Aiden Parker, and Evan Parker; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7th at 12:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rick May officiating.

Friends may visit the family for visitation on Tuesday, February 6th from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Phillip and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
