Obituary of Terry Lee VanHoose

Terry L. VanHoose 75 years 1 month and 24 days old went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2024, following a brief illness.

Terry was born December 30, 1948, in Paintsville, Kentucky, the son of the late Edgar (Tommy) and Neva VanHoose. He was a former coal miner for Martin County Coal Company and later in life became a Johnson County School Bus driver where he retired.

Survivors include his loving wife Judy Brown VanHoose; sons Meredith Lee VanHoose and wife Melissa and Calvin Gene VanHoose and wife Peggy; daughters Angelina Hunt and husband Kody, Shelby Dillon and husband Tristan; grandchildren Thomas Leverich, Steven VanHoose and wife Stephanie, Megan McGuire and husband Karl, Zoey Gourdouze, and Olivia Gourdouze; a great-granddaughter Lillian (Lily) VanHoose and another great-grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 29th at 1:00 pm at the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Hubert Slone, Rev. Cecil Ferguson, and Rev. Venny VanHoose officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens at Louisa, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday February 28th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church.

Care for Terry and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
