Genivia “Tootsie” (Watts) Cole of Fort Gay, WV passed away on February 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 81 years old. Genivia is preceded in death by her father Woodrow Watts, mother Nancy Ellen Watts, husband Forest Ray Cole, daughters Christine Cole and Debbie Adkins, brother Wetzel “Dank” Watts, niece Nancy Watts and granddaughter Amanda Marie Adkins. She is survived by her son Donny Cole (Amanda) of Ft Gay, WV, daughter Norma Jean Pack (Dave) of Genoa, WV, sisters Georgia Casey, Aline Watts, Della Watts, Ruth Ann Watts, brother Jack Watts (Bobbie), one nephew Roberts Watts all of Ft Gay, two nieces Cathy Murrison (Dave) of Raliegh, NC, Brandi Saunders (Jason) of Ft Gay, WV, and great niece Emily Watts of Ft Gay. Surviving grandchildren Kelly Thompson (Emery) of Prichard, WV, Henry Adkins (Shanda) of Louisa, KY, Jodi Rearden (Matt) of Scott Depot, WV, Jamie Adkins (Kara) of Louisa, KY, Andy Adkins (Brittany) of Ft. Gay, Brandon Adkins (Traci) of Crum, WV, Jimmy Adkins (Kandi) of Ft Gay, WV, Cody Fluty (Kylee) of Louisa, KY, Logan Ellis of Ft Gay WV, and Sheridan Ellis of Fort Gay WV. Surviving great grandkids TJ Jackson, Levi Parsley, Chase Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Kirsten Roberston, Brynn Thompson, Jaden Adkins, Kendall Adkins, Alex Payne, Alexis Payne, Draven Tacket, Gavin Adkins, Scarlett Adkins, Braxton Adkins, Cooper Adkins, Cheyenne Adkins, Brycen Adkins, MaKinslee Adkins, Kara Adkins, Dani Adkins, Winston Adkins, Jerrick Adkins, and Hadley Fluty. She also leaves behind her special friend and sister-in-law Vigie Carpenter. Genivia was a homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her “babies”.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Darell Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Robertson Cemetery on Hampton Ridge Genoa, WV. Friends may visit the family on Thursday February 29th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
