Obituary of Ruth de Gloria (Cordeiro) Thompson

Ruth de Gloria (Cordeiro)Thompson, 83, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Ruth was born September 12, 1936 in Ponta Delgada, Azores Islands, Portugal to the late Manuel Jacinto and Maria de Gloria Carreiro Cordeiro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jay Thompson, one son, Arch David Thompson, and on brother, Paul Cordeiro.

She is survived by one son, John Jay (Lucinda) Thompson and two daughters, Nellie (Delbert) Robertson and Patricia Dugan.  She also leaves behind one sister, Edith Medeiros, four grandchildren, Blake Robertson, Haleigh Thompson, Courtney Robertson, and Amanda Dawn Copley, and one great-grandchild, Kayden Jay Robertson.  

She was a Homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home with Father Mike Ramler officiating. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
