James C. Kirk, age 80, of Louisa, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center of Louisa, KY. James was born July 7, 1932 in Louisa, KY. He is the son of the late Thomas Benton and the late Rebecca (Wellman) Kirk. He married Patricia Lynn Floyd.
He served in the Army during the the Korean war from 11-13-1952 to 11-9-1954. He was a retired Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Lynn(Floyd) Kirk , three daughters: Vickie Arnett of Louisa, KY, Becky Maynard of Louisa, KY, Sandy Shannon of Louisa, KY and one son: Herbert "Bud" Kirk of Louisa, KY; ; he also has five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a special niece, Claudia Moran of Louisa, KY;
The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Wilson Funeral Home Inc., 1270 Hwy 2565, Louisa, KY with Rev. Paul Stepp officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery, Louisa, KY
Calling hours will be Thursday, December 20 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home Inc., 1270 Hwy 2565, Louisa, KY.
