Obituary of Lee Ervin Kazee

Lee Ervin Kazee, 67, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at home surrounded by his family following a long battle with cancer. LEe was born February 15, 1953 in Martin County, Kentucky to the late Delbert Kazee and Mae Dials Kazee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Kazee, one brother, Carlas (Bud) Kazee, and one brother-in-law, Willis Scott. 

Lee was a faithful member of the Clear Creek New Hope Association of United Baptists, He was baptized on September 4, 2008. 

Lee was retired, but well-known for his gardening skills and quick wit. 

He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Josephine Kazee; one son, David (Crissy) Kazee of Louisa, KY; one daughter, Emma (Harry) Kazee of Chesapeake, OH.  He also leaves behind six grandchildren, CJ and Alex Cook, Wallace Kazee, Jessica (Brandon) Puckett, Roy (Jordanne) Spillman and Brooke Spillman; seven great-grandchildren, Lane and Noah Kazee, Layla Jo and Clairie Lee Puckett, Kinsley, Madelyn, and Hunter David Spillman; and four sisters, Darlas Kazee, Carolyn Scott, Wanda Faye Kazee, and Connie (Donald) Maynard.

Funeral services will be conducted at1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Carolyn Scott's Home with Elders Albert King, Romey Spears, and T.I. Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Kazee-Scott Cemetery.  Friends may visit the family on Monday, June 22 after 6:00 PM at the Carolyn Scott's Home.
