Obituary of Alma Sharon Adkins

Alma Sharon Adkins, 73, of Cattletsburg, KY passed away Friday, June 26, 2020at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Adkins was born February 18, 1947 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Samuel J. and Ida Stanley Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Hall, Paul Hall, and Joliffe Hall. 

 

She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Adkins, Jr.; two brothers, James E. Hall, of Ashland and Larry Sam (Rosie) Hall of Westwood; one sister, Grace Ann Hall of Westwood; and a close friend for 66 years, Linda Carter (George) Hampton. 

 

Sharon was retired from Ashland Oil, a member of the El Hasa Clownettes, and a previous member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over thirty years.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY with Pastor Chris Wilson officiating. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, June 27 from 6 PM until the time of services at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be on Sunday, June 28 at 2 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Sharon’s memory to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Medical Center in Lexington, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
