Elias Garland Moore, age 80, of Louisa, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Kings Daughters Medical Center of Ashland, KY. Elias was born November 21, 1932 in Oma, WV. He is the son of the late Herbert and the late Vina (Maynard) Moore. He was predeceased by his wife, Bessie Harmon on 02/03/2003. He served in the Army during the the Korean war. He was a retired United Mine Workers Coal Miner. He is survived by three daughters: Vicky Scott of Versailles, KY, Debbie Brown of Louisa, KY, Tammy Stepp of Louisa, KY and four sons: Garland Nelson Moore of Louisa, KY, Timothy Elias Moore of Louisa, KY, Henry Moore of Louisa, KY, Elias Garland Moore of Louisa, KY; Brother of two sisters: Inez Scarbro of Fairmont, WV, Louise Hensley of Cincinnati, OH and three brothers: Donald Lee Moore of New Albany, IN, Jerry Moore of Lovely, KY, Leslie Moore of Leesburg, FL; he also has fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother, Herbert Moore Jr., sister, Rebecca Moore, brother, Raymond Moore, brother, Eugene Moore. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Wilson Funeral Home 1270 Hwy 2565, Louisa, KY with Rev. Ron Burger officiating.
