James Lowell "John" Hamilton, 76, of Adams, KY passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Community Hospice Care Center of Ashland. John was born August 11, 1944 in Hazard, KY to the late James Lowell and Sally Woods Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Jordan Hamilton; one son, James Lowell Hamilton III; one daughter, Teresa (Anthony) Belcher; grandson, Brandon Michael Hayes, grandson, Robert Jordan (Jessica) Belcher, granddaughter, Chelsey Belcher, granddaughter, Chandra Belcher, and grandson, Zachary Belcher; great-grandson, Brennen Hayes, great-granddaughter, Serenity Hayes, great-grandson, Peyton Belcher, and great-grandson, Eli Belcher.

He was retired from CSX Railroad, a Past Master at Jake Rice Lodge# 606 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite, and Order of the Eastern Star.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
