Obituary of Shirlyn Brewer

Shirlyn Jewel (Copley) Brewer, 68, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. Shirl was born September 1, 1952 in Louisa, KY to the late Hubert and Ruby (Robinson) Copley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Martha Johnston, Etta Copley, Dollie Thurston, Bootsie Ison, Peggy Copley, and three brothers, Billy, Bobby, and Ray Copley.

She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty one years, Jim Brewer; one son, Jimmy (Michelle) Brewer; one granddaughter, Sara Grace Brewer; four sisters, Linda Fleming, Kay Burke, Brenda Copley, and Pam Ashton; three brothers, Rick Coley, Eldon Copley, and Teddy Copley; four brothers-in-law, Donald, Gene, Charles David, and Richard Brewer; a very special sister-in-law, Patricia Rice Clay; a special friend and caregiver, Pearl Horn; and several nieces and nephews.

Shirl was a member of the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 1pm at Wilson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Borders Cemetery.  Friends may visit the family on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 6-9pm at Wilson Funeral Home.  All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
