Obituary of Grace Robertson Bartram

Grace Robertson Bartram, 78, of Fort Gay, WV, passed away Sunday, March 21^st. at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Mrs. Bartram was born March 29, 1942 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Boyd and Pauline Wilson Robertson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers who died in infancy; two sisters, Pearl Webb and Delores Bowen; and two nephews, Ronnie Napier and Chuck Adkins.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Gordon David Bartram, Jr.; three daughters, Theresa Diane (Brian) Eagan of Ashland, KY, Deborah Kay Parson of Fort Gay, WV, and Donna Sue (William) Hardin; seven grandchildren, David Edward Fyffe of Fort Gay, WV, Sonja Nicole Thompson of Ashland, KY, Selena Elaine (Chris) Fain of Parkersburg, WV, Natalie Grace Ford of Fort Gay, WV, Anthony Stuart (Katie) Parson of Ashland, KY, Allison Paige Frazier of Indianapolis, IN, and Christopher Dylan Frazier of Columbus, OH; five step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Napier of Kenova, WV, Judy Smith of Grayson, KY, and Jo Ann Steele of Huntington, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Grace was an amazing Christian lady who enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family.  She cherished her three daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and always strived to spend time with all of them.  Her chicken and dumplings were second to none, and she always took pride in making them for all the family gatherings and birthdays.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Grace would say that she had the kindest heart and chose to see the good in everyone.  She was a member of the New Beginnings Community Church in Louisa, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2pm at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Noah Robertson and Rev. Kenny Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bartram – Fort Gay Cemetery.  Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6-9pm at Wilson Funeral Home.  All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
