Obituary of Oma Elizabeth Marcum

Oma Elizabeth Marcum 79 of Louisa, KY formerly of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 23, 2021.

Oma was born January 11, 1942. She is the daughter of the late Kermit Smith and Bertha Workman Smith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Melvin Marcum, her siblings Mabel Bryant, Dora Adams, Malenda Farley, Violet Perrine, Isom Smith and Tracy Smith.

She was a housewife who fiercely loved her family. She was an incredible woman, irreplaceable to those who knew and loved her. She was fun-loving, strong willed and stubborn. She was a member of the Radnor Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing church hymns, shopping and watching westerns.

Survivors include three children Carolyn Lynn Marcum Dingess (John Dingess) of Crum, WV, Sonja Mae Pack of Louisa, KY, and James C. Marcum (Linley Marcum) of Chapmanville, WV; two sisters Jerena Fillinger and Layuna Wilfong: grandchildren Amy Nicole Brewer, Andrea Elizabeth Brewer (Steve Carey), Johnny Pack, Jordan Pack, Connor Marcum, Christopher Marcum, Shane Marcum, Michael Dingess, Rose Marcum; great grandchildren Jaxson Pack, Brycen Pack, Kaden Carey, Owen Carey, Victoria Dingess, Gabe Dingess, Will Dawson.

A special thanks to Dr. Marc Workman, Community Hospice, and all the staff at Three Rivers Medical Center.

You will forever be loved to the moon and back!

A memorial service will be held at a later date. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
