Obituary of Darwin H. Blackburn Jr.

Darwin Blackburn, Jr., 58, of Blaine, KY, passed away April 14, 2021 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin (Bo) Blackburn, paternal grandparents, Herman and Virdie Blackburn and maternal grandparents, Ray and Elzie Starr. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sheri Blackburn, son Travis Blackburn of Blaine, mother Anna Rae Starr Blackburn of Blaine, his only special sister, Lisa (Jamie) Wheeler of Blaine, father and mother-in-law, Willis (Eva) Newsome of Charley, KY, favorite sister-in-law, Theresa (Eddie) Walker of Elkhorn City, KY, special nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart. 

He was a disabled Medical Lab Tech II for Three Rivers Medical Center. He thought the world of his family and friends and loved them very much. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1pm with Bro. Jim Bevins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Blackburn Family Cemetery in Blaine, KY.  Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 16th. from 5-9pm at Wilson Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilson Funeral Home.  All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
