Obituary of Jimmie Lee Boyd

James “Jim” Boyd, age 83, of Louisa, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Jim was born on August 27, 1937, in Richardson, Kentucky to the late Walter and Elva (Bowling) Boyd. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Eula (Marcum) Boyd and son James E. Boyd. Also, sister Brenda Kay Terry, brothers Walter Boyd Jr, Clyde “Demp” Boyd, Joe Boyd, and Paul Boyd.

Jim is survived by his children, Shila (Bill) Pack, Sherry (Homer) Martin, Dean Boyd, Keith (Trina) Boyd, daughter in law Carolyn Boyd, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and his faithful companion, Lucky.

Other survivors include two sisters, Wilma Boyd McKenzie and Mary Boyd, both of Louisa. Two brothers, George (Becky) Boyd of Columbus, Ohio and Glen Boyd of Louisa, Kentucky, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Jim was a retired coal miner and businessman. Jim had a passion for work and spending time with his family.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday June 6^th at 3:00 pm at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ellis Maynard officiating.
