Obituary of Janet Yvonne Roberts

Janet Yvonne Roberts, 83, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Roberts was born September 23, 1937 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to the late Junice and Myrtle Applegate Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Roberts, one daughter, Teresa Long, three brothers, Harold, Frank, and Allen Smith, and two sisters, Garnett Moore and Edie Burrell.

She is survived by three sons, Freddie Roberts, Robert (Dee Dee) Roberts, and Steve (Laura) Roberts; two daughters, Pamela Laney and Rhonda (Terry) Robertson; and one sister, Betty Collier.  She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, Heather Montjoy, Miranda Roberts, Cassie Roberts, Kyle Laney, April Robertson, Justin Roberts, Keshia Evans, Morgan Roberts, Caleb Robertson, Shantel Robertson, and Noha Roberts and thirteen great-grandchildren.                                                  

She was a homemaker and cook and a member of the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Louisa Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rudy Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Monday, August 16 from 6-9 PM at the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
