Obituary of Carolyn Sue Thompson

Carolyn Sue Thompson, 72, of Louisa, KY passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Thompson was born March 1, 1949 in Blaine, Kentucky to the late Proctor and Tabitha Ramey Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, one brother, Joseph Cantrell and five sisters, Louise Wheeler, Anel Lee Cantrell, Elnora Price, Betty Stone, and Nancy Cordle.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Thompson, three sons, Harold (Ashton) Thompson, Gene (Kimberly) Thompson, and Brian (Tammy) Thompson; three daughters, Vickie (Chris) Sizemore, Rennesa (Kay II) Pigmon, and Rita (James) Pauley-Barker; two sisters, Laura Perry and Frances Nunn; six grandsons, Keith, Michael, Kay III, Chad, Joseph, and Jeremiah; ten granddaughters, Roxana, Tessia, Vanessa, Chelsea, Tabitha, Natasha, Mindy, Isabella, Claire, and Paige; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

She was a Homemaker and a faithful member of the Mary United Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home with Elder Austin Knipp, Elder Rutherford Blair, Elder Rob Baier, Elder Lewis Baier, and Elder Scott Baier officiating. Burial will follow in Thompson Fork Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, September 1 from 06:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Thursday, September 2 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
