Obituary of Rose Marie Meredith
Rose Marie Meredith, 76, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Grayson Assisted Living following an extended illness. Mrs. Meredith was born June 22, 1945 in Chattaroy, West Virginia to the late Fred and Mabel Mae Banfield Bates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, John Franklin Daugherty and Wilburn George “Button” Meredith.
She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Meredith; one son, Joe (Patricia) Daugherty; three granddaughters, Heather (Marcus) Clonche, Chasity (Jacob) Johnson, and Kendra (Benny) Brewer; one grandson, Justin (Mindy) Meredith; two great-grandsons, Jeremiah Cash Johnson and Braxton Tyler Meredith; four great-granddaughters, Carrington Jynx Johnson, Braelynn Rikki Meredith, Meredith Ann Brewer, and McKinley Audine Brewer; and a host of friends and loved ones.
She was the Chief Executive Officer of Wayne County Community Services Organization.
Private Funeral services will be conducted at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wilson and Rev. Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
