Obituary of Billy Richard Cassady

Billy Richard Cassady 77 of Fallsburg, KY passed away Sunday October 31, 2021 following a brief illness.

Bill was born February 25, 1944, at Inez, KY the son of the late Elmer and Doris Helton Cassady. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Billy Cassady, brothers Elmer Jr., Granville, Odell, James Everette, Charles Russell, Glen Homer Cassady and sisters Loraine Drose and Nollis Smith. Bill owned and operated the Creekside Cabins & RV Park and was the former owner and operator of the Fallsburg Country Store for many years. He loved Fallsburg and along with his wife Wanda helped build it into the wonderful community it is today.

Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Cassady; a son and daughter-in-law Brian and Crystal Cassady; two granddaughters Taylor Cassady and Lynzi Burton; brothers Monroe Cassady, Thomas Cassady, and Clark Cassady; and a sister Lois Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 3, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassady Cemetery Fallsburg, KY. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday November 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
