Obituary of Bernard Lee Robertson

Bernard Lee Robertson, 73, of Genoa, WV passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. Mr. Robertson was born April 6, 1948 in Genoa, West Virginia to the late Ona B. and Artie Copley Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Elle Kincer, nine brothers, Paris, Randolph, Basil, Alfred, Elwod, Harold, Landford, Ronnie, and Thomas, and two sisters, Jewell and Lillian.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Kay Robertson; five daughters, Geraldine (Daniel) King, Rachel (Mark) Hardin, Jennifer (James) Gauze, Crystal (Pete) Canterbury, and April (Ray) Martin; one sister, Arna Gay (John) Dean; five grandsons, Brandon (Aliya) Gauze, David (Emma) Gauze,  Joshua King, Nathan Gauze, Bernard Newsome; and five granddaughters, Kristin (Chase) Taylor, Chelsea (Travis) Kincer, Paityn Newsome, Caizleigh Canterbury,  and Kenadie "Peanut" Canterbury.

He was a Painter for ACF Industries.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Elmo Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in Bernard’s Field on Hampton Ridge.  Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 5 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home.
