Obituary of Delcie Lee Whitt

Delcie Lee Sparks Whitt, 76, of Blaine, KY passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her home in a house fire. She was born August 28, 1945. She was preceded in death her husband, Ray (Chig) Whitt, her parents Robin and Dora Sparks, sister Pauline Lemaster and Nannie Ward.

Delcie was retired from the Johnson County Board of Education. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Delcie is survived by her daughters: Karen Whitt McDowell (Anthony) of Blaine, KY and Lisa Whitt Clancy of Lexington, KY. Grandchildren: Kyle McDowell (Tabitha) of Blaine, KY, Trey Clancy (Catherine) of Louisville, KY, Ashley McDaniel (Anthony) of Blaine, KY, Ryan Clancy (Rebecca) of Oahu, Hawaii, Aaron Clancy of Maysville, KY. Great Grandchildren: Alliah, Aiden, Conner, Ariella, Amara, and another great grandson on the way. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Sorrell of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother Tommy Sparks of Flat Gap, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Cains Creek Enterprise Baptist Church in Blaine, KY with Rev. Rodney King officiating.Burial will follow in Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 2 from 2-9 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home.
