Heart breaking loss. My aunt Joyce was one of greatest people in my life. A 2nd mother to me. I told her every time we spoke she was my most favorite aunt. Hearing that always made her giggle.
When I was little she would put me up to so much mischief then laugh and defend me when mom would be so furious with me. Aunt Joyce was the biggest instigator EVER! I loved her dearly.
It's sad the way our health fails as we age and we become very different outwardly as our body begin to digress.
But thank God we have that blessed hope of one day having a body that will never age or deteriorate. I'm so looking forward to receiving that which God has prepared just for me.
So Aunt Joyce, rest a while. You've earned that. But one day soon, the lord will come to awaken you. I'll be there to greet you and oh my what a time we'll have.
For those whom never accepted the Lord as their Savior, I'm sure Joyce would encourage you to make your preparations sure to one day be reunited with her.
Rest in peace Aunt Joyce. Tell mom and dad I'm ok and I'll see all of you soon.
