Charles Ray "Catfish" Day, 75, of Catlettsburg, KY passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Day was born April 30, 1946, in Hyden, Kentucky to the late Warner and Judy Joseph Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Day, one son, Christopher Allen Day, two grandsons, Zachary Ulengchong and Charles “Bub” Day III, one brother, Willis Hayes Day, and a daughter-in-law, Lavada Day.   

 

He is survived by one son, Charles Day Jr.; three daughters, Connie (James) Carter, Trina (Keith) Boyd, and Gina (Pete) Ulengchong; one sister, Alice Faye (Ben) Pennington; girlfriend, Joan Lewis; sister-in-law, Donna Day; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.                           

 

He was a Diesel Mechanic fo over 48 years. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing, work on his boats, and he liked to buy things that were broken and fix them. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY with Bro. J. C. Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter-Day Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 31 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.»(Do not delete this line.
