Obituary of William Leroy Thompson

William Leroy Thompson, 61, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022. Mr. Thompson was born August 26, 1960, in Huntington, West Virginia to John and Wanda Dean Thompson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gwendolyn Thompson. 

He is survived by his father, John Thompson; two daughters, Tina (Homer) Jervis, Amanda (Chris) Carley; two brothers, John Clinton (Sandra) Thompson and Jeffrey (Robin) Thompson; close friend, Diane Wallace; two granddaughters, Danielle Jervis and Alexis Jervis; and a host of nieces and a nephew.                                       

He was a Custodian for the Wayne County Board of Education and a United States Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Monday, April 18 from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
