Nola Scaggs 86 of Louisa, KY passed away Monday May 6, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center following a brief illness. Nola was born Oct. 26, 1926 at Inez, KY, the daughter of the late Elzie and Elizabeth Hammonds Bowen. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Junior Scaggs who died Feb. 1988, a step daughter Louellen Scaggs, sisters Laurabell Spaulding, Opal Stevens, and Sena Hale, brothers Homer and John Bowen, and uncle Jim Hammonds. She is survived by five daughters, Kathyrn (Bill) Hodson of Xenia, OH, Phyllis (Johnny) Robertson, Wanda (Alger) Maxie, Della (Ed) Cordle, and Rosalee (Jim) Childers all of Louisa; seven sons Eddie (Jean) Scaggs of Xenia, OH, Larry (Sharon) Scaggs, Howard Scaggs, Harold (Peggy) Scaggs, Doug (Charlotte) Scaggs, Michael (Sherry) Scaggs all of Louisa, KY, Jamie (Victoria) Scaggs of Portugal and stepson Dallas Scaggs of Detroit, MI; 31 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday May 8th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Jimmy Osborne. Burial will follow in the Scaggs Cemetery at Louisa. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday May 7th at Wilson Funeral Home.
