Mrs. Noel was my 7th grade Science teacher at Louisa Middle School. She was firm but kind. She was the epitome of professionalism and expected all students to not only excel in her classroom but to do it with with grace, manners, and dignity. I have never forgotten the impression she made on my young life and I know I am not the only one. Peace be with her family. JFK

I remember Ola Mae Newsome when she was young (she is 10 years older than I) and did office work for her dad at the sawmill he owned on Laurel Creek. My dad work for Mr. Frank Newsome and we lived near the mill. I also went to school on the hill at Lenore where she taught later. My condolences to her family and friends. She was a caring lady, and always looked nice.

Mrs. Noel was my 7th grade teacher. I loved and admired her very much. I was struggling to find exactly where I fit in…..Mrs. Noel realized I may be heading in the wrong direction. I remember her saying, “Glendine you are from a good family, and you are better than that” . I’m happy to say I heeded her advice and I’m sure she was instrumental in much of my success today. I’m so thankful she did more than just teach; she took an interest in her students overall development.
Prayers for all that love her.

I loved teaching next to Ola Mae for many years when she first came to Louisa. We talked for hours about her growing up early years teaching an differences in WV and Ky teaching. She was such a special soul, I loved her dearly. She used to tell me I was her guiding angel to teaching in Ky.

Mrs. Noel was my 8th grade English teacher. I have many fond memories of her, and was blessed to have known her and had her as a teacher. She was one of those people who leave a good mark on your heart and life, so that you never forget them and carry a little of her goodness along with you in your life too. And there were many times she would talk about her grandson John. She loved him dearly, and would get caught up telling us all about him so that we would only have half the class time left for work, but she never let us get behind. She was always there to help too. She was one of the best teachers I have ever had.

My thoughts & prayers go out to Emory and family. She made this beautiful bow for my wreath, which is hanging on my front door right now. In addition to church together, my husband and I were members of Rotary with Emory.
She and Emory are two of the nicest people I have ever known.
