Obituary of Charlotte Jean Johnson

Charlotte Jean Johnson, 69, of Fort Gay, WV, joined her husband and met the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  Ms. Johnson was born May 2, 1953 in Kermit, WV to the late Nathan Troy Brewer and Chloe Horn Fields.  

In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Arvil Johnson; her son, Arvil Johnson Jr.; one brother, James Brewer; and half-sister Debbie Hinds. 

Ms. Johnson was blessed with 6 children: Arvil (Dorothy) Johnson, Jr., Haskel (Michelle) Johnson, Tina (Elvis) Clark, Steven (Amber) Johnson, Joshua (Jessica) Johnson, and Christopher (Robin) Johnson; many special grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Tina) Brewer; two sisters, Anna Mae (Keith) Burt and Janice (Robert) Fleming; two half-brothers, Troy Lee (Maria) Brewer and William Aaron (Lori) Brewer; and one half-sister, Terry (Al) Bollinger. She was also proud of the young men she considered her own: Darin, Michael, Cameron, Devon, Steve, and Steven.  

She also leaves behind many special friends that she loved dearly and she appreciated her friends who cared for her with the local ambulance services and DeVita dialysis center. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 3pm at Gospel Church of God in Jesus Christ on Marrowbone Creek, Kermit, WV. Burial will follow in the Fitzpatrick Cemetery in Kermit, WV. Friends may visit the family from 6-9pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
