Obituary of Rebekah Fay Kitchen

Rebekah Fay Diamond Kitchen, 84, of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Jordan Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Kitchen was born April 9, 1938, in Fallsburg, Kentucky to the late Howard and Emily Jane Austin Diamond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Kitchen, and one brother, Bill Diamond.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Lora Jane (Jim) Scott and Sharon Kay (Don) Johnson; three brothers, John Diamond, Joe Diamond, and Mike Diamond; one sister, Gertis Brumfield; two grandsons, Brandon Scott and Jason (Heather) Johnson, one granddaughter, Andrea (Jim) Driskell, two great grandsons, Caleb Shields and Lincoln Hurst Johnson, one great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Shields, special sister-in-law, Gloria Diamond, and two special nieces, Janice Salyer and Beverly Rutledge and several other brother and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews. 

 

She was a farmer’s wife and former Lawrence County Board of Education School Teacher.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Scott and Rev. Frank Copley officiating. Burial will follow in the Kitchen Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 21 from 6-9 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
