Obituary of Christa Leigh Cyrus

Christa Leigh Cyrus, 58, of Louisa, KY passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, CAMC General. Ms. Cyrus was born July 23, 1963, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Robert G. and Judith Ellen Thompson Cyrus.

She is survived by two brothers, Bobby (Teddi) Cyrus and Russell Cyrus; one sister, Kim (Bud) Shirkey; four nieces, Michaela Cyrus, Karrah (Fiance' Blake Barhorst) Shirkey, Kortney (Randy) Nichols, and Olivia Napier; three nephews, Andrew Cyrus, Cole Cyrus, and Aaron Cyrus; three great nephews, Roxas Baker, Axel Baker, and Grant Nichols; two step nieces, Jessica (Shawn) Davis and Chelsea (Kenton) Hall; two step nephews, Jason (Tessa) Shirkey and Trey Frasure; two aunts, Sue (Doug) Kelly and Nola Wellman; and one uncle, Scott (Mary Ann) Cyrus.  She also leaves behind a large extended family and special friends.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

 Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Cyrus Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 28 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilson Funeral Home, 1270 Highway 2565, Louisa, KY 41230. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
